I know, I know… I really need to get a better picture of this piece, however, it costs an arm and a leg to get something this size scanned. So until someone wants to buy a print, it ain’t happening.
This piece is the first thing I ever painted. My husband wanted to encourage me, as well as challenge me, as an artist; so for Christmas a few years ago he gave me this huge empty canvas. I was thrilled even as I balked at the sheer size of it (and its not even that big, really). It took me a few months to screw up the courage to just try something. I thought I would start off with something vague in shape and color and then add the Doxology over it. I am glad that it turned out so well and I was happy enough with it to hang it in our living room (that is saying a lot!). The Doxology is central to how my family tries to live – full of gratitude – and it is a gentle reminder.
