Host an Art Workshop

Spirit and imagination are close companions, and often when we find a safe, encouraging, and meditative/prayerful atmosphere the two like to come out and play together.
I’ll bring the paper, paints, magazines, scissors, pipe cleaners and encouragement, and you bring your curious mind, open heart and perhaps wear some clothes that can get a bit messy.
No art experience or expertise required, as the goal is not to create a masterpiece but to instead allow the Divine Spirit to teach you something using your own imagination. You just need to be willing to make a mess while listening to God whisper into your soul.
I’ll bring a theme for the workshop so we’ll have someplace to start or, if the workshop is part of a larger event, I can work off the theme already in place. Generally, I direct the workshop by giving explanations at the beginning and guidance to those who need help getting an abstract thought into a tangible piece of art through out. If appropriate, at the close I will lead a discussion for people to share anything they noticed or learned through the experience.
